I completed the first draft of a book I’ve been working on steadily since past summer, though the seeds of it were sown years ago. I’m going to step away from it for several weeks before doing a rewrite. I’m pretty sure at that point I’ll hate it, as I do with almost everything I create, so the chances of anyone ever reading it are probably slim to zero, but at least in my mind it’s virtually done. And that’s all I ever really care about.
